FAQ – Product Selection

Which product should I choose?

Start here: Copper Pipe for ACR Application, and for coils: LWC / PCC. Share your standard (ASTM/EN/IS), temper, and required OD/WT/length to lock the quote.
Use Medical Gas Copper Pipe. If you need oxygen-clean/degreased supply, specify it clearly. Also tell us the governing standard and required cleanliness/packaging (sealed ends, caps, nitrogen purge if required).
For copper-based options see Heat Exchangers Copper Tubes. For brass families see Brass Pipes & Tubes and for condenser brasses: Admiralty Brass Tubes / Aluminium Brass Tubes. For seawater and high biofouling resistance, cupronickel is common: start with CuNi 90/10 or CuNi 70/30. Water quality, velocity and temperature decide the right alloy — don’t guess.
General brass tube/pipe overview is on Brass Pipes & Tubes. If you need furniture/architectural tubing, check Furniture & Lighting Tubes. For dezincification resistance, see DZR Brass Tubes. For marine service, see Naval Brass Tubes.
R V Metal Corporation supplies a comprehensive range of Copper, Brass, Copper Nickel, Copper Alloys, Aluminium and Stainless Steel products including pipes, tubes, rods, bars, sheets, plates, strips, coils, profiles and fittings. View full range: All Products.
Yes. We manufacture and supply Copper Pipes & Tubes for HVAC, refrigeration, medical gas, plumbing, electrical and industrial applications in ASTM, EN and IS standards.
Common copper grades include C10100 (OFE), C11000 (ETP), C12200 (DHP) and equivalent EN / IS grades depending on application such as HVAC, medical gas or electrical use.
Yes. We supply Medical Gas Copper Pipes manufactured for hospital and healthcare pipeline systems as per relevant ASTM / EN / IS requirements.
We supply brass pipes and tubes in grades such as C26000 (Cartridge Brass 70/30), C27200 (Common Brass 63/37), C46400 (Naval Brass) along with Admiralty and Aluminium Brass for condenser applications. See Brass Pipes & Tubes.
Yes. We supply Copper Nickel Pipes & Tubes in 90/10 and 70/30 compositions widely used for marine, shipbuilding, offshore and desalination applications.
Yes. We supply a wide range of Aluminium Products including pipes, tubes, sheets, plates, bars, billets and extrusions in commercial and alloy grades.
Commonly supplied stainless steel grades include SS 304, 304L, 316, 316L, Duplex 2205 and Super Duplex 2507 depending on application and corrosion requirements. Visit Stainless Steel Products.
Yes. Mill Test Certificates confirming chemical composition and mechanical properties can be provided as per applicable ASTM, EN or IS standards and order requirements.
Yes. We support export-grade packing, marking and documentation suitable for sea and air shipments, along with coordination for international logistics.
Yes. Share alloy grade, size (OD × WT or thickness), length, quantity, standard and application. Submit enquiry via Contact Us for a technical quotation.
Yes. NDT such as Eddy Current Testing (ET), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Hydrostatic Testing and Visual Inspection can be arranged as per order specification and applicable standard.
Eddy Current Testing is commonly offered for copper, brass and copper-nickel tubes used in heat exchangers, condensers and HVAC systems where specified by ASTM or customer requirements.
Ultrasonic Testing can be arranged for selected products such as thicker wall pipes, rods or plates where internal integrity verification is required.
Hydrostatic testing can be conducted for pipes and tubes when required by applicable standards or project specifications, particularly for pressure service applications.
PMI testing using XRF or OES methods can be arranged to verify alloy chemistry for stainless steel, copper alloys and copper nickel products.
Hardness testing (Rockwell / Vickers / Brinell depending on material) can be conducted when specified to confirm temper or heat treatment condition.
Yes. Third-party inspection by agencies such as SGS, TUV, BV or customer-nominated inspectors can be arranged prior to dispatch.
Dimensional tolerances are maintained as per governing ASTM, EN or IS standards. Custom tolerances can be reviewed based on feasibility and quantity.
Yes. Ovality and wall thickness eccentricity are controlled within permissible limits defined by the applicable standard and inspection plan.
Supply form (seamless or welded) depends on alloy, size and standard. This is confirmed at quotation stage based on application requirements.
Yes. Soft annealed, half-hard and hard tempers are available depending on alloy, size and end-use.
Internal cleanliness requirements such as degreasing or dry-air purging can be supported when specified, especially for HVAC and medical gas applications.
Yes. Products are supplied in compliance with ASTM, EN and Indian Standards as applicable. The governing standard must be specified at enquiry stage.
Standard random lengths or fixed cut lengths are supplied with tolerances as per standard or mutually agreed terms.
Yes. Packing lists, heat/lot marking, alloy identification and export markings are provided as per customer and regulatory requirements.
Inspection and testing can be witnessed by customer representatives or third-party agencies subject to prior coordination.
Materials can be reviewed for NACE / sour service relevance based on alloy type, application and project specifications. Clarification is required at enquiry stage.
Straightness is controlled as per standard limits. Special straightness requirements can be discussed for critical applications.
Yes. Heat/lot traceability is maintained and referenced in documentation such as MTCs and packing lists.
Inspection Test Plans (ITP) or Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) can be reviewed and followed for project-specific requirements.
FAQ – Standards, Testing & MTC

Documentation and compliance

Yes—MTC can include chemistry and relevant mechanical/physical test results as per the ordered standard and product type. If you require online verification, use MTC Verification (share TC/heat/lot reference).
ASTM / EN / IS standards are supported as applicable to alloy + product form. Don’t send a vague request like “copper tube”. Send the governing standard (and revision if critical), alloy/UNS, and temper. For alloy references, use Alloys Datasheet.
Yes, inspection can be arranged when specified in the order. Share inspection scope (dimensional, PMI, mechanical, EC test, hydro test, etc.) and agency requirements at enquiry stage—adding it later delays dispatch.
Where required by standard/order, we can support EC testing / hydro testing as applicable for the product. Specify acceptance criteria, test frequency and any marking/documentation needs in the PO.
Yes—mm and inches are supported on documentation, packing lists and marking. If tolerance is tight, state it explicitly instead of assuming “standard tolerance”.
FAQ – Ordering & Shipping

Commercial and logistics

MOQ depends on product category, size, alloy and whether it’s stock vs production. If you send exact OD/WT/length + quantity, we’ll confirm MOQ and pricing options quickly.
Lead time varies by size, temper, testing requirements and current production schedule. If time is critical, state required dispatch date upfront—don’t hide it until after pricing.
We quote as per customer requirement: EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF and other terms where feasible. Share destination port, preferred forwarder (if any) and documentation needs.
Packing depends on product: bundles in wooden boxes/crates, seaworthy export packing, protective wrapping, end-caps for tubes, and marking as per packing list. If you need special packing (fumigation, VCI, palletization), mention it in the RFQ.
Standard export set typically includes Invoice, Packing List, CoO (where applicable), MTC, and other documents as per buyer/bank requirement. If you require legalized documents or chamber stamping, state it before order confirmation.

Still stuck? Send your spec—don’t guess.

We’ll respond with the correct alloy/temper options, documentation scope (MTC/testing) and export pricing.
